N86 - using FM transmitter to transmit voice call

Hi,

Does anyone know why the FM Transmitter in N86 does not work during a call ?
You can use it for transmitting music (works very well), but during a voice call it's always deactivated and does not work...

That's a pity - FM Transmitter could be very helpful to use it in your car, instead of a hands-free set.
This problem is probably present in all S60 3.2 Phones with a FM Transmitter.

Anyone knows why ? Is it a bug or a feature implemented by Nokia ? Is there any 3rd party software to deal with this problem?

I think the answer is behind the commercial screens . FM transmitting is competing other Music carriers , like CDplayers , which are not produced by Nokia . So it doesn't hurt .
When FM is used for handsfree phonecalls , one doesn't need a Bluetooth Set in the car .
Sales of Nokia BT sets will drop down . As soon as Nokia starts producing car-audio and FM headsets , policy could change .

Of course : a challenge for a third party developer .....
