N95 8GB accelerometer applications crashing

My N95 8GB (RM-320) started to reboot at random intervals. And this afternoon it went to a reboot cycle. I performed a hard reset using four finger salute. Thinking it might be a firmware issue i upgraded the firmware to 31.0.015 (latest). Now when i try to start the camera, it rotates the screen to landscape and then just crashes. I tried other applications which use accelerometer such. Step counter does not crash but does not register any movement at all. I installed cCam to check if camera is okay to find out that camera works fine. Also turning on auto-rotation causes the device to go into infinite reboot loop. So i think the culprit here is the accelerometer. I am hoping the problem is in software and not in hardware.

Has anyone come across such symptoms?

i have no fix....

but fyi i have the exact same issue with N95 8GB (RM-320) 31.0.015 ...

camera intermitently works...
but usually when i activate the camera the screen will rotate...then go blank and just go back to the main screen..

tried reflashing numerous times...same
also have the exact same issue with the auto-rotate

im gonna bring it to a service center soon...
