4 replies · 3,200 views · Started 12 November 2009

I have a Nokia 5800 and since the last two firmware updates I have had issues with the camera, it just wont work, when I press the camera button the screen just goes a bit darker and thats it. When I press and hold the menu key I can see the app running but when i select it the screen just goes a bit darker.
The Firmware I running is 31.0.101
Is there a way of installing the old firmware as had a camera with that. Begining to hate this phone and should have stayed with Blackberry :icon13:

Most of the time these kind of issues disappear , when doing a hard reset . Just be sure to have a backup of all your personal data on PC .
Hard reset deletes all data on C: , but the firmware and files on Massmemory or Memorycard stay intact :

I did a back up and a hard reset and even reinstalled the OS and camera worked twice and not same again.
How do I go back in firmware, is that even possible.
Its been a long time since having a nokia and I can see it will be a long time again.

Getting an iPhone next week. What is Nokia doing. If this is the best they can do then Bye, I wont be back

Good luck with the iphone, vince. You could keep the 5800 for when the iphone gets a flat battery.
