Route 66 and E90

Does anyone have Route 66. I bought it and I can't get it to see my E90 when I bring the short cut up on my PC. It says searching for device--I have tried this in bluetooth and with a cable per the instructions.

It doesn't do anything. I have written Route 66 support three times and we don't seem to be communicating very well.

They said that my phone has to "you must connect to the computer a device that has installed a compatible ROUTE 66 Software.

I am not sure what that means. Do I have to buy something else before I can use Route 66??? My E90 already has GPS software doesn't it??? Am I not turning something on????

I would like to install Route 66 on my device if I can figure out what the problem is. Is it an "operator malfunction" or am I needing to install something else.

I thouht Route 66 was a stand alone navigation program.

Any advice would be apprecaited please.

Thanks,
Bobby

Thanks jApi NL,
You are always right there with a response and its greatly appreciated.

I read your article and its very interesting. I have been trying to use my 2gb SD card. I formatted it so that it would be clean, not realize that the program did that automatically.

I can't get anywhere to even get started. I have tried with both Bluetooth and cable to connect to even get started on Route 66.

I have Route 66 9.7 the latest version. When I connect per the instructions my E90 by the USB cable and turn on Data Transfer/Mass Storage Mode, and open up Route 66, it says searching for device. It doesn't indicate that it found the device although in the top right hand corner it says Nokia E90 (F) and shows what looks like a "connected symbol???). Nothin starts automatically so I go to tools and can see "Install Navigation Software, greyed out, so I can't click on it.

I do have blank card in my E90 but when you have it in the transfer mode it says Data transfer activated, memory card not accessable from phone.

I am at a loss of how to get the program on my memory card. I even tried to install it using a card reader.

I downloaded my Route 66 on line so I don't have a CD to work with. I am not sure where to go from here.

Thanks,
Bob

Hi Rootytooty : I lack the experience . So just a guess about settings in the E90 . Menu > Installations > App Manager > Options > Settings
Set 1. to All , 2. to Off .

😊 Regards jApi NL

I know what you mean that is for installing programs. I received some help from Route 66. I now have it installed. Apparently you have to install Route 66 8.0 first and then you can do the rest.
