E-mail Notifications V E-mail Retrieval

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know if E-mail Notifications does anything? There is no setting for how often you want it to check for new emails.

I presume this feature just tells you you have a mail, but doesn't actually download a header? Is that right?

Cheers :icon14:

it notifies you after an email has been received, and received email depends on your settings, whether it's push, or at an interval, and whether you choose to download headers only, or a part of it (e.g. 100kb) or the full message

Email notification doesn't have any features to set, it's basically on or off. It's email retrieval that has all the settings for headers and frequency of checking etc...

That's why I'm a bit confused. Maybe notification only works with push mail?

I thought notification just let you know you had received an email, then you had to go in and manually retrieve it, whereas retrieval you can set what you want it to automatically download for you.

Yeah, that's kind of what I was thinking, but it didn't seem to do anything when I activated it.

Maybe the frequency that it is defaulted to check was longer than I waited to see if I got a notification....
