The "yellow thingy" is the speaker.

I actually find that with the MIDIs I use, I actually have to turn the volume DOWN from the highest setting, otherwise I get distortion. Perhaps it might be an idea to increase the volume of your ringtones in an external program?

i think the yellow thing is tha antenna

the ring tone topic was already in this forum.
i dont remember when,
do a search

The yellow thingy isnt the speaker
its for an external aerial

BS again

Further to what Guest said, the yellow thingy is for external anntenae like if you had a car kit the phone would sit in the cradle and use the car antennae.
Nokia phones generally have a rubber plug that erm plugs the hole until you want to use it.

Doh!!!

The "yellow" or actually more like "golden thingy" on the back is a connector for an external antena.

Plugs the hole... har har... 😃

Hey futuredoc, do you have a manual for your phone? I look to these forums for interest and learning. If you need to know the physical aspects of any device it's pretty standard to find a Parts Diagram' at the front of the manual.
