they play without problems.
but the thing is, 3 of them dont show their titles
so i have 3 songtitles and 3 empty lines.
i can select the empty lines and they play.

No, Unfortenantly there is no way to do this on your P800. I also don't knwo on a third party app that enables this .

SO , I gues you need to do thast on your PC using a TAGgin application

Well of course you'll have to use your PC to tag them. Thought that was obvious.
Winamp, Musicmatch or equal should do the trick.

Can't you use the file manager on the P800 to change the name to anything you want. I mean, File manager is a free download anyway and I have changed the name of some files with it. I even changed the name of an alarm sound, so it should be able to change an MP3 tag

Right here's a honey noodle for the old water melon. I transfered a couple of MP3s onto the phone, but neither of them showed up in the audio player plus the memory in the memory stick has gone down. So they're on the phone but not showing up. I've got the settings right i.e show MP3's and points to the Duo. WHAT IS GOING ON!!!?

Use MusicMatch Jukebox for the ID3 tagging - it even has auto-tagging using it's online database - if like me you're too bloody lazy to go through them all manually it does it for you. 😉

oh, did i forget to mention that i can't play them! When i said they're not showing up, I meant the phone is telling me that it has no mp3 files, but they are in the file manager with the name and everything! Thanks for the advice though prawntoast (?)

P.S TD rock!
you do realise that they have to be in the \audio\unfiled directory....
I have mine in \audio\mymp3\ which is a folder I created and I can play them 😊 I also have \audio\ringtones\ and \audio\messagealerts\ and they all seem to be working ok 😊

Yeah i've been successfully transfering mp3s for a while, it just suddenly came up with this error. I formatted the Duo earlier and it seems to have worked but i don't know why it happened in the first place! Seems SE still have a few ( or loads of? ) bugs to get rid of. To be honest I think that only when we've had about 3/4 firmware upgrades that we'll be able to reliably use all the functions ( and more i hope ) of the P800...

The audio player does not use the filename to display an mp3... it only uses the ID3 tag info... so if your mp3 has no ID3 tag then it won't get displayed in the audio player...

Transfer it back to your PC and (if you're using XP) right click, properties, summary tab, advanced and fill out the entries, then transfer back...

If you're not using xp you'l need winamp or something similar.
