I have N95 8GB RM 320, which has Active SISX Applications, if i try installing .SIS application it says certificate expired. Is it possible to use .SIS, and how to use certificate expired Applications.
sis file and sisx file
Both .sis and sisx can be installed . The easiest Setting : in Application Manager > Options > Settings 1) All 2) Off
In case of expired certificate , set clock back to an appropiate date .

However, note that .sis files containing applications not inteded for S60 3rd Edition will not work.
Especially not those intended for versions based on Symbian v8 or earlier (S60 1st Ed., S60 2nd Ed.) or for Series 80 (S80) or UIQ.
It is advisable that as of Symbian 9, developers all use .sisx as the file extension for signed and ready-to install installation files (and that they leave the .sis extension for Symbian 8 or earlier systems). However, all developers do not do this, and use .sis also for signed Symbian 9 files, which often leads to confusion or problems.
