Reliable N97 Themes?

Hi

Does anyone know of any reliable N97 Themes and where they can be found - for free 😃

Have tried a few in the past and they have generally proved 'buggy' to say the least

thanks :icon14:

Themes...the darker side of the N97!

When you install Shazam, it adds a very dark ShazamiDTheme. Problem is, like most themes, they didn't test it all the way through and in some places you have dark menu text on a dark background with very little contrast difference.

Worst yet, the way this theme is added, you can't uninstall it even if you uninstall Shazam (which by-the-way is a *VERY* cool must-have app!).

Also themes seem to install only on the already-way-too-small C: drive.

I really like this theme but you're right, not tested enough and you can't see your calenda properly (from memory). Shame.

After a lot of looking about i found Sun by NCA (search this for places to download)

I got mine from here

http://thenokian97.com/nokia-n97-theme-review-sun-by-nca/

Which has the full version with custom icons or the STD version = standard nokia icons

I really liked this theme but it would'nt install (from anywhere) as there was a certificate error so i did this - from my experince installing Key lock clock from Dr Jukka

So as suggested by Dr Jukka i thought i would try and get the sis file signed by simbian signed (https://www.symbiansigned.com/app/page/public/openSignedOnline.do) and try and install it that way.

Had some problems when i tried to install straight after downloading the signed sis file (error along the lines of certificate out of date or device date wrong) but tried again an hour or 2 later and it began to install (i'm guessing that the clock on the server that signs the files is set to a different time and time stamps when the sis becomes valid to use).

It did warn me when installing that this was incompatable with my phone but i took my life in my own hands and ignored it!

Long story short it looks great and i have found no problems of lag, hang ups or general problems.

:icon4: If you do decide to do as i have then be aware that you do it at your own risk!!!!! Just because it worked for me does not mean it will work for you.

For information phone is the N97 with V20 firmware

Thanks for your suggestions everyone - if anyone does install this one let me know how you got on! :call2:
