N97 crashes after sending text messages with V20

Hey guys.

Title says it all really. Upgraded to V20 (vodafone) 2 days ago and the phone's crashed about 5 times, all directly after sending text messages.

Any advice?

Thanks,
Ian

Which drive are you storing them on? If its the C: drive, how much space do you have on that?

I would recommend using the E: drive for storing messages if you're not already.

To do that go to Menu->Messaging->Options->Settings->Other.

Note: Whenever you back up the phone you will need to reset this.

Regards
Neil

You are the first person I have read about with this issue.
However, problems after FW upgrades are more likely to be software related than hardware.

Did you restore a Nokia 'backup' file after the FW upgrade? This is not recommended and causes all sorts of issues.

I would recommend you synchronise your contacts, calendard, pics, etc using PC/OVI Suite then perform a hard reset

The traditional method wont work as the N97 doesnt have the old keypad. After youve backed up your data onto memory card/pc/ovi, turn your phone off and simultaneously press these four buttons below.
 Caps shift
 Space bar
 Delete button
 On button
Keep the first three buttons pressed down until the Nokia boot-up music plays.

Hey guys.

The error seems to have subsided yesterday... I've done the drive thing, thanks for the advice guys. Will try the other thing if it comes back.
