I ordered from p800er.com yesterday (brando screen protector). Got confirmation of shipping and a tracking number this morning (though it didn't say who they sent it with...yet).
P&P is hugely expensive for Fed Ex Express international (3-4 days) but the normal postage (1-6 weeks!!!) is much cheaper.
I'll keep you posted about the order tracking and delivery times. However, others on here have said that DOML (who run the site) are a very well respected company in singapore and the surrounding area.
any idea of the cost of P+P for the memory stick.
ALso whats gonna be the retail price in the UK ?

Fed Ex is about 16, Registered airmail is about 3.
No idea on a UK retail for the 128MB. Haven't found anywhere in the UK that will even let you pre-order it yet. Expansys are charging 70 for the 64MB, so I'd guess around 120. But that IS a guess.
Last time I checked, expansys did still have a couple of the 64's in stock for next day delivery and they are definitely worth it!
How'd you get a tracking # for an item (Mem stick) that is not in stock? I know they can generate them in house, but that never ensures your order will get shipped.
He ordered brando screen protectors, not a memory stick

I did, but it's the same to the UK for either the screen protector or memory stick.
they only let u put your email down for a 128 stick, saying they will mail u when stock arrives. Then you will be able to order.
ooooohhh.....128MB would be niiiiice - are they available yet?
Found this, haven't seen it mentioned by anyone else, will keep an eye on it and let you all know if I manage to get one.......

Spoke to the guy at AVland a few weeks ago, he won't have any in stock until the official release, so that is what?...a month away still?
Actually the official release is March 21. in Japan AFAIK, and some stores claim they'll be getting it March 22; just one day later, so it should be just a week away now... :bday:
I don't get it, the MagicGate technology is meant to be the be-all and end-all of copyright protection but I havent yet heard anything about people having problems copying MP3s or anything else for that matter on to them. Can someone enlighten me as to what MagicGate actually does?
I think that's because the P800 doesn't actually support the copyright features of Magic Gate.

MagicGate has nothing to do with MP3's. It is only for Sony's own ATRAC3 formatted files. You can't download ATRAC3 formatted music files to a device unless both the device AND the memory support MagicGate.
As the P800 (as Raven mentions above) doesn't support MagicGate, even though the memory card does, then you can't play ATRAC3 music files on it. But that is the only limitation.
I've had the 64MB MagicGate duo for a few weeks and have mp4, mp3, pictures, word documents, midi and sis files on there. They all work fine. Plus, I haven't noticed any real performance difference except that mp4's seem to take maybe a second or two longer to start playing from the duo than from main memory.
I preordered the 128MB MSDuo from Brando. Their site mentioned that they will start deliveries by April, while the 64MB will start shipping this March. Well its March now and i just checked their site. It seems they still havent started shipping even the 64MB sticks yet. This is making me worry since my credit card bill has arrived and they have already charged me for the MS. Oh well, its still March. Maybe they will deliver it by April. I will keep you posted about this 😊
