IP/HTTP connection via Bluetooth???

Hi,

since I want to get rid of the PC sync software (I'm not getting tired to mention that it is BAD 😃 ), I'd like to experiment with the P800 SyncML client. From what I got I need a SyncML server which has an IP connection to the P800. I'm afraid that I can only create an IP connection from the phone using a GSM/GPRS connection (which would mean I have to pay for the internet connection)??? Would be nice to be able to do it the other way round, use the P800 to get an IP-connection to the PC via bluetooth (or IR or USB, I don't care) and then either go directly to the SyncML server on the PC or use a router in the PC network to go to the internet...
uhmm...
did anyone get my point??

Yes I get your point, same as with the palm hotsync manager you can sync to one pc in your network via your pc by configuring network hotsync. This is possible with palm because I did this all the time. Our problem here is that the desktop sync manager of P800 doesnt have configurations for this.
