In All About Symbian Insight 97 (AAS Podcast 161), we discuss the release of Qt 4.6 and why it is important (Symbian and Maemo support, Qt Mobility APIs). We answer a range of user questions ranging from Ovi Suite for Mac, through N86 firmware and E72 software, to discussing what's the best current imaging phone. You can listen to AAS Insight 97 here or, if you wish to subscribe, here's the RSS feed.

Hi great Insight,

must tell you guys, I enjoy your site, and I visit it every day,

Sorry to go offtrack, but I have a question --
But can anyone tell me what's the development at nokia's gaming department for 2010, since such a promising Ngage is dead, are they going to release any symbian phone with graphic acceleration cards in their new phones S60 phones?

i have an n73 and I really enjoyed playing games which were written in 06 - 07 for symbian phones, specially games by Infinity dreams, but off latley there are no great games written for symbian, even Infinity dreams has left nokia and are concentrating on the Iphone !!!

what do you think will be the future of Nokia in the Gaming Department ??

Steve, I heard you say that you submit bug reports to the (N86) firmware team.

As the heading says, my N86 (unbranded) has the initial FW and cannot be updated, not even to v11. If like me, you think that this sounds wrong, maybe you could pass it on to these higher powers? - Or else tell me why I shouldn't think it sounds wrong...

Product code 0587840
Language set (?) 003
Type RM-484
Firmware 10.086

@DKlaus. I can only surmise that the N86 team know they still have a truckload of bugs in v20 firmware and are holding off on wider v20 availability until they can make a more reliable v21. You're not missing a great deal apart from the Face detection etc. Watch this space.

It's also worth noting that this podcast was recorded BEFORE Nokia's Capital Markets Day. We'll be discussing all the stuff announced on Wednesday when we record the next Insight, possibly later today.

@Steve: Ok, I see. And the same goes for v11.043? Thanks for replying. (And sorry for the double post - I thought I had deleted one of them...)
