Camera Lense Protection

Well here in the Cebu we dont have the screen protector for the P800 available yet so what I did was get a palm m105 screen protection kit and cut it into the shape of the P800, so far so good(lotsa bubbles though :-? )

I had a lot of extra protector from the cut outs and thought of cutting a small circle for the lense at the back. Would thsi affect the pictures I take? I figured that with this on, I could clead my lense easily with a cotton swab or something without the fear of damaging the lens. But my question is, will this affect the pictures that we take?

My GirlFriend 3650 has a protective clear sticker on it when she bought it well we know is was meant to be removed once bought but she didnt remove it and the pictures taken from it are still superb! way better than P800's and 7650's. So I guess the protective screen on our lense would be ok huh? Anyone tried this?

Test it and see for yourself.

Take a picture with it on.

Then directly afterwards (eg, same light, angle, object etc etc) Take one with it off.

Compare the two images and see how much quality is lost. :-?

Well, I just did that and its the same, no difference. Problem is you have to put an xtra flap so you cak take the protective screen off bec if you dont its burried in there for good, thats if ou cut it to the exact size.

Buried. LOL! I should have cut out a lens protector from the extra pieces i cut out from a PALM protector too.

Forget about it Fonz, it wont work, the extra flap keeps on getting off and it peels off slowly after a few seconds.. useless..

I did the same thing and no bubbles. perfect fit. what I did was stuck it on first and then cut the excess off with a sharp shaving blade. I left the bottom excess and put the cover over the plastic film so I can peel it when required.
