Nokia's Ovi Store client just got itself an update, to v1.05 (436), with smoother operation and (doubtless) a few bug fixes. If your 'old' client is recent enough then you should be prompted to auto-update, otherwise zap it and re-download from store.ovi.com or Download! (depending on device).

Looks like Nokia is taking lessons from Microslop when it comes to bloatware on our phones. After installing the Ovi store update I now have 3 separate programs for Ovi installed:
Ovi Store - 632KB
Ovi Store Client - 303KB
Ovi Store Launcher - 17KB
I think Client Platform - 282KB is also part of Ovi Store but I can't remember.
Do you guys really need a meg's worth of junk to keep track of my userid and password? Couldn't you have written a widget in a 100K?
A word of warning if clicking through "Download" to update on E71 using Birdstep where WLAN has 1st priority as no data plan, as it will still grab a network connection for this 5Mb download whereas no issues if going to store.ovi.com and updating via this method.
Add localization to the change log.

There were always three seperate programs installed even on the original version. They might be getting slightly bigger, but there were always three.
An important change i noticed is that after redownloading something, it doesn't appear twice in the 'your software' category (or whatever it is called in English) anymore... used to bug the hell out of me that after resetting the N97 (twice!) and redownloading stuff that I had a lot of things three times in there.
But there is still so much to do. Whenever I look at the 'Programs' they recommend to me, I want to run away screaming. And why they have not managed to get something as easy as top20 in all categorys is behind me...
