So, I have a Nokia E71 with the very very old firmware of "100.07.76", my phone is on the 3 network in Ireland and I'd like to update it to the 400 series, what steps should I take to do this?
I'm aware that my phone currently will not let me do a normal update so I will most likely need to use a tool, but should I go 100 - 200 - 300 - 400 or is that not needed?
Also since I have the E71-1 (290.02) hardware, will this cause any problems?
It would be nice if my phone could be made to work a bit better then it is currently.
Also if I need to change the hardware code (ID thing?) of the phone what is the generic number to use in its place for an EU English language E71?
