A newbie question about ringtones, pls help

I'm a newbie to this forum but can someone help me?
I just got 9210i and I tried to have some WAV's as ringtones.
I managed to convert them with MMConvert and copied them to the Nokia.
I Also managed to "assign" them as ringing tones.
Now here is my problem:
I want to send them as ringtone (via SMS) but I can't.
It seems that the "original nokia" rings, and the rings that I had on my old phone (which were transferred to the 9210i) are shown with the notes symbol in FileManager and are opened with the RingTone application and can be sent via SMS, BUT....
The newly created WAV's are shown with cassette symbol and are opened with Recorder and from there I can't send as SMS.

What's the solution? Is there any way to "convert" the WAV's to "ringtones"?

Tnx in advance
NBP

My first answer would be no.

But it depends on the type of file you are using as ringtone...

The communicator is one of the few devices that uses .wav files as ringtones. Most nokia's use a .mid file or .rng file as ringtone.

Since wavefiles are much different from rng or midi files, I don't think this is possible, unless you find a way to convert wave files to midi files, and then programs like logomanager can turn them into rng files [I think]

You mentioned Ringmaster in your question, if you have it you can change a wav. file to a ringtone with that. You may need to do it in sections if the sample length is too long but you can then stitch your smaller rng. files together to create the origional bumff.
