Ovi Suite 2

I have downloaded the latest full release of Ovi Suite. Apart from the glaring omission of the File/Folder synchronisation, it looks good, but... it doesn't work.

During the installation, I get a message popping up on my machine (Vista 32 bit with SP2 installed) saying "windows driver foundation - user-mode driver framework host process stopped working and was closed". After that, the install says that it has completed, and all appears well.

The programme then sees my phone (whether by cable or Bluetooth) and can access the contacts and messages. It won't sync them, however, and constantly gives error messages to the effect that the sync has been cancelled and asking me to reconnect the phone.

I don't want to uninstall PC Suite until the file sync option is ported to Ovi Suite (and I appreciate that, from Nokia's point of view, Ovi is the future and PC Suite is nearing extinction), but I like the look of Ovi and am keen to give it a whirl.

Anyone got any ideas?

I understand that, but I would like to know if anyone else has experienced problems with synchronising the latest full release of Ovi Suite. What I can and cannot do with PC Suite is irrelevant.

Anyone out there able to add a practical comment?

Ovi is still buggy & slow now. (2010/3 E.).
Especially for N800, I waste too much time on connection setting.
