They're Windows apps and do not support Linux.
I thought that was the case but just thought I would ask in case someone figured out how to do it in Linux.

Stupid thought: Virtualise Windows using VMWare or equivalent and capture the USB port.

That is correct. It works perfectly under VirtualBox as well. 😃
