Screen brightness

Hi
1st post, so bear with me!

I recently switched from an iPhone 2g to an N97mini and am used to being able to control the brightness of the screen (primarily to save battery life)

I can't seem to find a setting on the phone that lets me drop the brightness down to a fixed level. Does it exist?

Menu > Settings > Phone > Display > Light sensor (adjust up or down)

Thanks, I've done that, but it's still quite bright.

On my iPhone I could lower it right down.
