I've set personal ringtones for different contacts which works fine if its on the general profile, but when I change to a discreet profile like "meeting" is still plays the ringtone at full blast!
Obviously I would only like it to play at loud when its in the general profile mode so is there anyway I can change this?
The special tone for specific entries in your contacts list overrides the "beep" tone set in the meeting profile. If you have your contacts organised into groups, you can change the setting on the profile so that only certain callers will cause the alert to occur - Menu->Settings->Profiles->Meeting->Personalise will allow you to specify for whom you do want to receive alerts during a meeting.

That's odd, this doesn't happen for me, i have 5 contacts who have their own ringtone, but whenever my profile is set to work (renamed from meeting) it only beeps..as it should..

V20, but it's always been this way..
My settings are
Ringing Tone: Beep
Ringing Type: Beep Once
Nearly everything else turned off..
ahaaa i usually set the ringing type to Ring once as I prefer to have a message alert tone set to something other than a beep.
That makes more sense, i'll have to create another profile and try that out!
