I have P800 bought from Orange I use it without the keypad flip. And I'm having some problems, I have looked though a forum but have not found any answers to these questions. Please could anyone
1. When in the phone is locked with the screen black and a message of a phone call arrives, the phone rings/vibrates as required. But if you miss this there is no indication this has happened e.g. led flashing faster. You have to unlock the phone and check.
2. I can't seem to stop the phone beeping when I touch the screen when the screen was blanked out. As the phone sits in my pocket it gets tapped often. So I'm beeping allround the office.
3. When I use voice dial when the phone is locked how do I change the volume of hang up whithout unlocking the phone. Should it unlock these basic call functions when a call is in progress.
4. When in selent mode why does the phone replay the voice dial stored for he contact being called. I should be silent.
5. Futher to points 1 & 2 it would be nice that the sim unlock screen showed the phone status e.g. battery status, missed calls, awaiting sms and time.
6. The virtual Sim lock screen does not have the sms letters on them. I can not remember numbers so I use a word, which now does not work which is annoying.
Have I misunderstood anything?
Many thanks
Dave
Wow, Ill try mybest to answer some 😊
1.) Yes you have to Unlock the phone and check.
2.)Go to control panel>System sounds>click off
3.) What do you mean volume of hang up? If it is just to change the volume of the call use the Jog Dial.
4.) I have the same question. I dont really know why it has to say the name when Ive already assigned a personal tone for that person to let me know that that person is calling. Sometimes its very annoying sometimes it's pretty cool.
5.) Well it doesnt. You can add that to the request post I started titled a call to all ap developers 😃
6.) What do you exactly mean by this? The letters are there on the virtual keypad and so are the numbers.

Yeah there's letters on the virtual keypad but there's no letters on the virtual keypad when you first turn on the phone and get prompted for pin code.
My pin codes' a word and that makes it so much harder to type it in correctly.

Its a pitty as I often can't put this phone in my pocket so every time I come back to my desk I have to unlock and check.

Sorry I wanted to say: How do I change the volume of the call if you have used voice dial to start the call whilst the phone is locked? And how do you then hang up the call with out unlocking the phone.

This just seems odd.

I will.

I'm very bad at remembering numbers so I use a word e.g. dave which in numbers is 3283, but If you lock the in non virtual flip mode then when you enter your pin you just get virtual keys without the letters but in virtual flip mode you get a full keypad with letters. All very un-consistant.
