I tried it but the sound only came out of one channel?
I have suspicions though that my headphone socket is dodgy because when I twist my headphones plug around when plugged into the phone the sound crackles... so it might be that.
I think confirmation that the TV cable should work will confirms I have a dodgy socket!

As far as I know it should - it's just a standard 3 ring jack plug that splits to composite RCA, I've mixed and matched my old N95 one with a Belkin cable I bought for my iPod and it always worked.
Cool, dodgy socket then....

Just seen this thread so coming in late on this one. My N95 TV Out cable works fine with the N97, no problems at all. Looks like you may well have a dodgy headphone socket.
Thanks. The phone has to go back to the service centre in the new year anyway so I'll add this to the list of problems!

Cheers BB, just enjoying the break , here for another couple of weeks then off back to Saudi. Was up at 6am today to go the Next sale, massive queue to get in. Otherwise been busy traveling up and down the country seeing friends and family but yes, enjoying the break!.

I got the best present ever, a new car - and, the most important thing is that the N97 works with the Bluetooth, it even downloaded my phonebook to the car as well. Chuffed :icon14:
Oooh shiney new car!! Beats buying a couple of jumpers from Next! I was up early anyway, so although managed to buy a few things, I think most of them will be going back !
