is it worth bying a 128mb mmc and put wav files in there so i listen to them when i travel ??? is the quality good with the handsfree headset? or is better from the speaker???
sound quality ??? (9210 as music player)
The output is mono...so the quality isn't that good but it is resonable. :P
It sound actualy like you are listening to a Radio, with the speaker or the handsfree is the same.
for me music quality is great, more so since i have this converter.
i can convert wav files from my favorite cds...
check it out, use the lowest setting, sounds great..

enjoy... 😃
It's really the best, I've been using it for ages! 😊
I downloaded the converter just for fun. I'm i newbie in music files and couldn't believe my eyes when a mp3 file which was about 4 MB turned into a wav file of 44 MB!! Is this true or did something go wrong?
Even if you buy a 128 MB MMC you can only have like 3 songs on it! There's got to be a better way... 😮
yes a stadard wav with the same quality as mp3 will get that big.
But to use it on your 9210 you should reconvert it with MultiMediaConvertor which makes your wav about 2MB.
You can also use other convertors if you know the exact bitrate and codec
Thanks Dazler. Actually - before even trying to find the other converter - I did a little search on AAS and found a thread http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=7326 where aj96 gives details on the settings. I tried those (8.000 kHz 4Bit Mono, IMA ADPCM wav) and now the file was only about 1 MB. Amazing!!
Ok the quality is not perfect, but you can still recognize the music 😉 And there are a lot of convert options to experiment with, obviously the better the quality, the larger the file...
I only have a 64 MB MMC, but now i can have 60 (poor quality) songs on my communicator... not bad 8)
If I got the MultiMediaConverter you talked about, would it preserve the quality better? Juggling with several converters just doesn't seem to make sense unless it really improves the quality.
Nah I think you can get better results when experimenting with dbpoweramp 😊
The MuliMediaConvertor is worth downloading because you need this to create nim files 😊
Ok, thanks 😃
I think I leave the video-experiments till later 😉
which from those 2 , will make my wav file sizes smaller, and better quality for the 9210i?
we just talk only for wav, not for video files...! 😃
both 😊
Only dbpoweramp will allow more tweaking 😉
my opinion though, dbpower converted wav files are smaller and sounds better than the ones converted by multimediaconverter... i therefore use the dbpoweramp for sound and multimediaconverter for videos... dbpoweramp has a plus, just put your audio cd into the cdrom drive and you can convert it right off the bat, very useful cause i'm a music freak... 8)
