Delete custom firmware

Hi! I just bought a Nokia 5800, and it turns out it is locked! They said it wasnt, so now Im trying to get the unlock code.

Besides that, I would like to get rid off the custom firmware of the carrier (Claro), which includes some icons, and the images when i turn on/off the phone.

How can I do this? I read that I need a program called phoenix 2008_44_5 so I can change the product code, or something like that, but Im not so sure...

Bottom line is, can anyone explain how to do this? Basically I want my nokia to be "carrier free", like if i bought it unlocked.

Thank you very much!

Juan
