1. The kepypad and contacts icons on my Home Screen don't work. How can I enable them?
2. How do I stop the phone asking me to configure my e-mail settings every time I switch it on? I don't want to use it for e-mail.
3. Some web pages tell me I need to enable JavaScript. How do I do that?

Thanks.......Jim.

3. JavaScript is enabled by default. The message comes most likely because of a badly designed web site, which does not recognize the phone's web browser, and redirects you to an error page that asks you to enable JavaScript even if it is already on.

3. Good idea to download Opera Mini browser. If you point your normal browser at m.opera.com I think it's pretty easy from there, or google "opera mini". There are a number of advantages with opera mini such as it uses less data to show the same pages, it is quicker, easier to use (I reckon). It's free.

1. Homescreen settings: click middle (white) button then settings > personal >home screen > home screen theme

If you choose shortcuts bar at this point, you can click back a couple of pages to select which 4 shortcuts to use.

If you're new to the phone make sure to have a go at downloading from bbc iplayer. You can downloadf straight to the phone for watching later. Very handy!

1. Sorry, answered wrong question there. If you press the keypad logo and nothing happens it is probably that you are pressing too lightly with the flat of your finger. It only needs a light tap if you use a fingernail or a pen or the pointer thing, slightly firmer with the flat of your finger.

The keypad logo should work all the time, I think, unless there's a key logo in the top right of the screen to indicate the screen is locked.
