Viewranger for S60 5th Edition

This application uses topological maps and your GPS to help you navigate and locate where you are and where you're going. Great if you're a hiker, climber or fisherman/boater/sailer.

I tested it this morning while walking the Irish Wolfhound and it is "spot-on" location-wise. We have a large reservoir/wildlife preserve near us and it shows a lot of details.

The only negative that I found was that panoramic views of the USA are not available yet (I guess we're just too big of a country!).

On 22-Oct-09 falconer said that this was one of his most-used apps. His post title was about Skype, so many people probably didn't read the bit about Viewranger.

This app goes on my list of ones worth purchasing.

It's still one of my most used app's, just on a satio where the GPS actually tells you where you are, and can actually pick up a pick up a phone call in a poor reception area, unlike the N97
