Date missing on home page

The date, network name and profile information have today disappeared from my 5800 home page. I've switched off the phone, removed the battery and switched back on again, but no luck. I updated the firmware yesterday.

Did you try a hard reset ? Dial *#7370# on the Homescreen or read these threads first :

Some do a hard reset right after the firmwareupdate , to delete all unwished or corrupted data . Makes the devive factory fresh . Anyway be sure to have a backup of all your personal data , e.g. Calendar , Contacts , etc.

Thanks jApi NL.

I was hoping not to have to go through that, however was really easy to do. Backed everything up, did hard reset, restored everything from back up and on reset all back to normal - even my settings were just as they were before and the date, profile and network name data had returned to my home screen.

Many thanks.

The date and time will only show up on the home screen when you have the normal profile selected. If you have it on silent or any other profile the date won't show. Is this what you are talking about?

Hi Rodger : date/networkname/profileinformation . Sometimes , even after firmwareupdate , it a good thing to do a hard reset , I believe .
