BBC World Service

Hi all.

Is there a way to listen to the BBC World Service on 5th edition phones?

I used to listen via Internet Radio, now conspicuous by its absence.

Can't find it on iPlayer. Any alternatives?

The N97 applet "Podcasting" comes with the BBC World Service pre-configured as one of the subscribable podcasts.

Most providers would prefer that you use downloadable podcasts instead of live streaming because of the latency within their systems.

I prefer podcasts in that you can pause and restart them or rewind to catch anything that you might have missed.

Thanks Ash. That's interesting as on my N97 Mini I get 'Unable to play media clip' on World Service!
