pc file manager help!!!!

I wonder if anyone can help. Yesterday I installed the demo version of pc file manager and when I connected my 7650 to my pc via infra red it connected to pc file manager ok. Today when I tried it says "Timeout-device not connected" but it is because I can still send files to my 7650 using windows. Ive tried re-installing pc file manager, but still no joy. 😞

Have you connected mRouter ?
Don't forget you have to connect via Infa AND then by mRouter.
Try rebooting your phone also.
I find this prog VERY reliable so am surprised you are having trouble.

Sounds like that must be the problem, but whats mrouter. Im sure ive seen it in the system tray before.

It's ok Ive done it. I opened the pc suite, then opened pc file manager and now im connected. Thanks for the help

mRouter is part of the Nokia PC Suite installation and connects the phone to the PC over infa or BT.
It should be sitting in you system tray - double click it and you should see all your com ports listed with a tick by your infared port.
Once you have lined up and connected via infa red mRouter should flash and connect also but sometimes you need to double click it and tick - untick the infared com port box to kick it into life.

You should then find PcFileManger will work fine.
