Help: Nokia Update Software killed my N95 :(

My beautiful friend of nearly 3 years now has been prematurely snuffed out by the Nokia Software Update. I backed everything up fortunately, but then I did the update, as I was on 12.something and the latest was 13.something.

Half way through, it gave me the dreaded "lost connection to phone" and now I can't do anything with it. It gets as far as the initial NOKIA screen, then freezes. I can't connect it to the PC, as it doesn't get far enough to be able to do it.

How can I bring my baby back to life? Id it going to cost me big bucks, or will Nokia do the decent thing; apologise and do it for me?

I'm in Somerset, Taunton/Bridgwater area.

Any ideas please. I've bought a 10 Nokia 1661 so I can make calls etc. but I can't even get my contacts on to that phone, as it didn't come with a cable and it isn't the normal little USB.

Help me please and promise never to update the software again, no matter what Nokia PC Suite tells me.

Try by turning it on while holding the "green" button, the * button and the 3 button, pressed simultaneously. May be it is restored.

You wont be able to flash a dead phone with the standard USB cable, you'll need an fbus cable.
Also you'll need something like Phoenix service software, nokia suite won't touch it.
