There is a new version of ereader pro available (v4.01)- initial quick play with shows most of pagination \scroll problems seem fixed - I will test a little - download from link below

i cant use my epub or pdf books, which i believe are two standard formats.

Ereader doesn't support those formats. Only ereader and doc (not MS office, this is Palm Doc), both in a PDB wrapper.
