I prefer using facebook via mobile web as it gives more information than the app.
I've got it as a bookmark so accessing it isn't a problem, and i have it on my homescreen as a short cut. However, the short cut from bookmarks is a bit boring and if i wanted to use, say 2 shortcuts from bookmarks on homescreen i'm going to have the same icon.
Is there a way i can change this ?
How about this for an idea as you don't want the RAM hungry FaceBook widget for the N97 running on your home screen but still would like a shortcut to access it when you want.
Download the FaceBook .jar file, v3.1.1, from here:-

Now, using your computer, paste the .jar file into E: or F: drive.
Using the built-in File Manager on the phone, navigate to the file location and click on it to install. You should find that it has installed to Applications on your phone.
Now go to your home screen, select Options and Edit content. Now press on the shortcut bar that you wish to add FaceBook to and select Settings. Choose the shortcut you wish to change to FaceBook and you will be offered the choice of Application or Bookmark. Select Application and go through the list until you find FaceBook. Once selected just go back to the home screen and you will have an icon for FaceBook in your shortcut bar.
