Rizwan,
Your error is displayed because your phone is not able to get through the default gateway set on your laptop. I am at office and don't have all the steps but may be I hint something which could help you. Do the following to get the
error corrected.
First of all, while your DSL connected to your laptop with sharing enabled and your wireless account configured (wireless connection with name which is case sensitive, Ad-Hoc, and with properties of TCP/IP in terms of IP. subnet mask, default gateway and DNS servers added), type CMD in the "RUN" to enable DOS windows, and then type "ipconfig/all" (type withour quotes). There you will see the details of your DSL and wireless connection. Use DNS servers addresses displayed there and note down the IP address your laptop under wireless details.
In wireless connection properties of TCP/IP, your IP and default gateway should have the same address like 192.168.0.1, subnet mask should be 255.255.255.0 and DNS servers and alternate servers should be fed as found in details regarding DSL. Initially make an open connection by disabling the WEP encription.
Now come to your phone. Add a new access point, in connection name type the same name of wireless connection as you typed on your laptop, data bearer to wireless lan, network status to public, lan mode to ad-hoc, security mode to open network. Then click the options on left meny button of your phone and click on IPv4 settings and feed the IP address. The last number of the IP address should be 3 or 4 numbers higher than that IP address you fed in laptop. For example in laptop you fed 192.168.0.1 for both IP and default gateway, but in phone you will feed IP as 192.168.0.7 etc. Then subnet mask as 255.255.255.0, and in default gateway you feed the same value as you fed in laptop like 192.168.0.1. Remember in laptop both IP and default gateway has same value but here in phone the IP is different in last number but the default gateway is same as on laptop. Then click DNS address and feed the same values as you noted for your DSL connection like in primery DNS, 203.99.163.240 and in secondary DNS, 203.99.163.242
Thats all
I hope it works but if still have problem, I will guide you more step by step
Cheers
Ejaz
