Hey guys, let me ask you something.
I've got Nokia 6120 smartphone, and one day I decided to install Gnubox on it to use my PC's internet connection and not to pay my mobile service provider.
I did everything correctly but unfortunately, Gnubox damaged (by creating probably bad format records through "create records" function) the commsdb file. As the result, I cannot use mobile internet connections through GPRS/EDGE/3G (however WAP works fine). I get "System error" when go to Settings > Connection > Access points :con?
Actions taken:
- trying to remove those weird records using Gnubox "delete records" function (may be they were removed but it didn't help)
- reseting the phone (through *#7370#)
- reflashing the phone with the latest Symbian version (5.11), someone said that would help. I'm absolutely sure it was reinstalled, it took about 5 minutes and the phone screen was showing "Local mode", "Test mode" messages at some point during installation. However, NOTHING CHANGED! Even my language was preserved... without going back to default English!
The question is:
how can I fight this weird problem, i.e. how to get Internet working again on my phone?
Hope to have provided enough information! 😉
