Hello,
after I updated the firmware, my E90 attempts to reinstall something onto the phone memory, from the SD card when I reboot it. It doesn't tell me what it is, just "Installing Application" and the progress bar, followed by a dialog telling me it failed and to install from the control panel.
Does anyone know how I can determine what it's trying to install, so I can either remove it from the SD, or install it from a .sisx, so it'll stop nagging me?
Thanks.
Go to Menu/Home > Installations > Application Mananager .
Check the Applications list . All apps installed show their names . Uninstalled apps show a code , with numbers and letters .
Reinstall these . A pop-up will tell you their name .
You will have the option to install or stop installing .
When it doesn't install , it will be because of expired license . The usual workaround is : set clock back to an appropriate date .
Also : check options > settings in Application Manager : set it to 1) All and 2) Off .
Another tip : to retrieve Icons from JAVA applications , use Nokia MidletRestorer :

Thank you very much. You were correct.
FYI: The problem it reported was File Corrupt (ScreenSnap application).
I removed it rather than re-install.
Much appreciated.
Do you mean Screensnap from TerraMobilis ? This is an old application but still works fine on the E90 . The bug is : after approx 130 screenshots , you have to reinstall it again , because all of sudden it jumps to sequential number 4325 or something like that .
At this point , the next screenshot is overwriting the one before , which has already this same number , etc.
Reinstalling fixes it . ONLY the clock has to set back to 06 Aug 2006 during installation . Because of expired certificate .......
