NOKIA E75: Deleting 600 contacts out of 720

As the E75 is my business phone and I am currently changing departement I need to get rid of around 600/720 contacts.

Until now the delete is processing since around 3 hours. (after around 30 Minutes it was at 79%). The phone is not properly working anymore (grey foggy screen) and very, very slow repsonse (several minutes one key stroke).

How can I come over this issue?

I am using PC Suite, synchronizing with our Outlook which itself synchs with CRM.

What is the limit of contacts in the E75?

Since I don't use this synchronizing stuff , I am doing this kind of actions manually . Mark the appropriate contacts + Backspace .
Open contactlist , press shift + D-Pad center -> 1 hit
Shift + D-Pad down -> Multiple hits .
Next : Backspace .
When you have the contacts organized in Groups it is even faster . Open the Contactgroup -> Options -> Mark All + Backspace .
