Someone on here suggested uninstalling Nokia Messaging and reinstall would free up C:\ drive space on my N97. So I gave it a shot. Sure enough i went from 24mb to 38mb free now. Thanks to whoever it was that recommended this. I couldn't find the thread.
Anyway what is taking up all the space? I'm assuming its old email headers or deleted emails. Where are these files stored? I'm hoping to use Y Browser and clean it up every once in awhile.
would love to know it too, i have it uninstalled but there may be fragments here and there
furthermore my free space is going down on a daily basis and i don't know WHERE it's going
ovi maps ate 13.1MB of space, ouch!
+1 Having exactly the same experience over last 3-4 days (since Nokia Messaging started playing around with their sync so I suspect it's summat to do with them). Before this had pretty stable 42-45MB free on C: after last hard reset and haven't installed anything at all and now down to 35.5. Also had huge upsurge in crashes/freezes and me having to power cycle, up from every 2 days to 5+ times a day and something keeps asking to define access point after power-up which never used to happen before so looks like some process or other is stuck running or has changed it's settings or...............? Who knows.
See where we get after updating to V2.1 on Monday.
Just did the same and after uninstalling, reinstalling and synching all my mail back to the phone I have gone from 15.96Mb to 30.87Mb free on C.
Seems like a new ritual to adopt every month or so!

It's ridiculous how much C space it uses. When opening up Y-browser I notice "Mail folders" directory. It is in the root with all the other drives. When opening it up it says "No attachments". Maybe its holds attachments in there and doesn't delete them. I'll have to test that later.
