A very reliable source has informed me that a Symbian radio app (source declined to comment on whether it was Nokia making it) built on Radiotime technology (the same company whose tech is licensed for the iPhone/iPod touch's TuneIn Radio app) will be released around H1 2010.
I wouldn't mind if it were like TuneIn radio. It's the only app I can't do without on my iPod touch.

God bless you if it's true 😊.
Does anybody know it Nokia has a official email for feedback on the firmware?
I just updated my n97 last night and overall the experience is better but I have some issues with the kinectic scrolling and the rss reader.
The kinectic scrolling was way smoother on the previous firmware specially on the applications menu.
And whether I'm reading the RSS feeds on the web browser and click the button to load the web page on that feed nothing happens, when previously the page oppened. This is a great bummer for me since I do most of my web surfing via RSS feeds. And the browser can't load Engadget web site anymore.
Is there a way that we can give feedback straigh to Nokia? Or should be just hoppe that they are reading these comments???

Yeah, kinetic scrolling is choppier now 😞. As for engadget, it stopped loading for me when they've changed the layout so it's not the fw's fault.
Try
http://m.engadget.com for mobile version. And yes, Nokia employees are reading the comments, especially after release of new fw. You can also post your feedback on Nokia's disscussion boards.
It seems the WSOD problem is gone. At least for now. Restarted my N97 several times (I have a LOT of stuff installed and currently have about 22 GB worth of music and video on it).
Are you still waiting for a telephone running smooth, that reacts when you touch the display and so on?
So the answer is the simpliest ever done:don't buy N97.
I have tried thousands of phones, studied and tried every new feature, of every brand and no phone had all of problems and unsolved bugs like this before.
Not responding touching screen when you try to answer (ever tried anything like this? you want to shot the phone against the wall!), phone that rings even if you choiced the silence mode, different ringtone from personalized, worst reception ever seen, when you loose the signal you need many minutes to recover lost signal, slow GPS receiver, some crap plastic pieces of cover after a couple of months of use have lost their color (i am a researcher and i put this phone in the pocket, nothing different!).. And many many other. Everytime you touch the camera cover the phone enables camera function, and if you close it the camera function stays on using the frontal one.
Two days ago i bought the Omnia HD too. Uncomparable superior quality, touchscreen, software, stability. I know there are also well known bugs into this phone, but nothing that makes IMPOSSIBLE everyday's use.
So pay attention! You will remember you knew it.
P.S. Of course i will do this update, but is it possible to buy a phone that will do what they promised to you and what it must do after one year and thousands of updates? It's a shame, and maybe Nokia have lost one of the most enthusiastic buyer i met (yes, it's me...)!
Kind regards to all,
Andrea
Sorry for my english, i hope you can still understand...

I suspect this is because the v20 kinetic algorithms used too much RAM and processor power (and thus battery life). By making it 'choppier' (in user terms), Nokia has been able to save resources.
It's all a compromise, you know, and I believe that v21 is a stunning update that makes the N97 a whole lot more usable. And I hadn't noticed the jerkier menu scrolling until you pointed it out.

it's not a matter of loading the mobile web site or not. it's a matter that v20 firmware loaded mobile.engadget.com with some hicups here and there and that v21 firmware doesn't, it crashes the web borwser.
