NSU Problem with Windows 7 64 bit?

Does anyone know if you can get NSU to work wit hWindows 7 64 bit. The following from the Nokia NSU site does not give me hope.

"Requires: Windows Vista or XP"

Right now I can't update my firmware to 2.1!

Thanks,

John

Possibly I did that when I installed it.

I can't remember at the moment, had a rough night last night and my brain is not working properly. 😃

Good News! NSU worked fine when set up as a Windose XP SP2 program.

Everything is now fully up to date!

Just for additional info:
(for other users)
If it still doesn't work, go to services (type services.msc to start menu) and stop Internet Connection Sharing and Windows Firewall. After closing, start nokia software updater. It will work. Just don't forget to start them again after you're done with the update process, as it compromises security to turn of Firewall especially if you don't have another one.

I eventually found that the problem was with PC Suite. I uninstalled that and then NSU worked fine.

I couldn't get NSU to install under Windows 7. PC suite is already updated to Windows 7-compatible version. I solved it by enabling Windows Vista compatibility mode for the NSU .exe installer.

I also had some problems installing NSU on Windows 7 64-bit earlier. Solved it by running it in compatibility mode for Windows XP SP3. So the solution seems to be; run it in compatibility mode for something else.
