A new firmware update, version 31.012, is now available for the Nokia E52. The update is currently only available via Nokia Software Updater (PC). We've not noticed any major changes, but a number of bug fixes and small version updates to built in applications (Web, Email, Music Store, Maps) are included. The phone's noise cancellation parameters have also been updated, which should improve audio quality of calls.

If this update doesn't include a Xenon flash I'm not going to bother. Until Nokia wake up and release a firmware update that includes a Xenon flash then I am just not interested.

New firmware capable of spawning new DRAM cells in a module would be quite a feat.
I've had a bug with my E52 that means it won't except my lock code. Has anyone else here had the same problem. Already had to send it back to Nokia twice. 1st time it happened I thought I was going mad!
Hope this update fixes it.
Was it a UK phone that this new firmware is available for? It is not showing up for my Euro1 model. I could try and change product codes to get it (seems to be available for SSA1 product codes but I'm not sure which languages that code will get me)

For my product code (0578063) there are no new software update. This is from official Nokia site:

Finally v31.012 firmware is released today. I have updated with Ovi Suite.
All works fine but I don't see any huge improvements yet�

It seems to be now far more widely available via PC (not sure about OTA though). Have checked quite a few product codes, including EURO1 and most of the ones I checked are now ready. Will try to update tonight and see what happens.
The firmware ia availabre in Mozambique and i have updated my phone. Changes? The first change that you going to see after the update is the OviStore icon. Other improvements are not visible. But my phone sounded but faster now, especially the WLAN connection.
The light sensor still difficult to understand when is going to work, because sometimes is On even in very bright places.
But since i have never had problems with the phone it was hard to see the improvements

Updated firmware tonight to v31.012. User data preservation worked completely. Process was very quick and all worked fine. Can't see any real changes yet (Maps still seems to be the older version that is not free for voice guided navigation; was hoping that would be in firmware but is easily updated) but phone seems a bit quicker. Can't speak about bug fixes - my phone was working well before the update and still seems to be the same but a little faster.
