Hi guys, Ive been browsing the forums for some time now and get a lot of useful information on these forums! Now, im posting for the first time because I need your help.
Im having trouble updating my N97 mini to the latest v11 firmware. It's not my first time updating firmware, so im not new to this stuff. v11 is available to me both NSU/Ovi Suite and OTA (over-the-air). No matter which I choose, my phone fails to update. See pictures below:
on OTA i get this message:

on Ovi Suite i get this message:

On NSU i get a similar message. Note that I have been updating my other Nokia phones and never got these messages. Anyone here experienced the same problem?
I notice you are using WiFi for the OTA update. I assume this is the same Internet you used the Ovi Suite updater on? If you can try updating OTA via 3G or a different Internet connection.
Are you using any proxy server to connect to the Internet? Might be that it isn't caching the update properly.
Hi thanks for the reply. It's not the internet connection as I have used the same connection to update my other phones (N95/N82/Satio). Also tried using a different computer and i get the same error. When i update OTA, it successfully downloads the update but its the installation part that stops and I get that error message.
I am getting the same error on my Girlfriends phone, we both have the same phone, network, etc mine updated fine to v21, her's brings up the internal error you have.
I've tried all sorts to fix it but can't seem to figure out how to sort it
have you tried a hard reset?
yup.. hard reset, format mass memory, remove external memory, uninstall and reinstall Ovi/NSU.. no luck. I read on other forums that some people get the same error as mine. good thing im not alone lol

Take it to a service center to get them to do it. Sucks I know, but it might have to get sent back because it seems you have done all you can.
yup thats right
at least call them first if they have v11 in hand, else its just a wasted trip
or you can just get them to reflash it back with v10 again, as in real reflash, not reload firmware via nsu kind
UPDATE
After finding out that Nokia Service Center here in Vancouver is pretty much non existent, I researched on offline flashing (not using NSU) and found this handy guide. I have now successfully updated my N97 mini to v11 😃
