hello
this has probably been asked a million times before so i apologize for repeating it..but i looked at the forums and could not find anything..
how do i find my nokia 5800 product code??? i just bought my phone and i know the latest firmware update is v40.0.005 but mine is showing as V 21.2.025 and says it is the latest version (im in canada and have the black phone)
so was just wondering how come i cant get the latest update and also how i find my product code...
Thanks
It means that the network that supplied the phone has not approved the latest firmware.
The product code is programmed in to the phone, You can find a note of your product code on the label under the battery.
It is possible to change the product code using either NSS or JAF and then update to the latest firmware, however if you are under warranty, changing the product code and updating will void it.
Use google to find more info on changing the product code using NSS (Nemesis Service Suite) and for 5800 products codes on V40 Firmware
