Hello, I would be very grateful for a liitle help.
My brand new Nokia 5800 XpressMusic does not display the callers image ( photo) that I have associated with the particular contact. Instead it displays the default image.
What can I do to make it display the callers image ?
Many thanks.

I've checked and the result is :

soft vs = 31.0.101 dated 16.09.2009

custom vs =31.0.101.217.08 dated 5.11.2009

Have checked for updates , phone went online and reported no updates available.

I've also tried to move the contact images to phone rather than card. Not working.
Other forums report that if contacts stored on SIM rather than card it works. Have not tried this yet.
This is also not good for me as SIM memory too small for my contacts list.

The Theme Home Display offers to have Default, None or Used Defined picture for a call. The User Defined is just a fixed picture, not a contact picture...is there a way to remove this Theme option or replace the Theme with another that offers to display the contact image when the contact calls ?

Cannot believe I gave up Sony Ericsson for this phone which seems to have the software done in a rush...

Many thanks for any help.

I had the same trouble as you with assigning pictures to my contacts. If you are still having this problem...

The phone will not assign images to sim contacts - they have to be copied to the phone first:

open contacts > options > mark/unmark > mark all > copy > to phone memory

then:

open contacts > settings > (contacts to display) phone memory

then:

open a single contact > options > add image
