When I look at the software information either through the service menu, or via Control Panel -> System Information - there is no version number next to the CDA field.
I get:
Phone:
CXC162002 R1DBluetooth:
CXC12529 R2C
Organiser:
CXC162001 R1F01
CDA:
I had to reformat my internal disk after my speeddial became corrupted. Whilst I have no problems making/receiving phone calls, or SMS, etc I am a bit worried about what this CDA (or lack of) means.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Also, how does the above version numbers, etc compare with other people on Orange UK?
for cda i have
CDA
CDA162002/7 R2A01
I'm on orange in uk
Mine is R2F too and has no CDA number too ? What does CDA mean ? Does it affect phone performance/functions ?
As far as I know the CDA doesn't matter. It was probably reset after you restored a backup... Don't worry about it!
I bellieve that CDA is probably a version that your mobile provider upgrade in your system, so if u have urs from Orange, the orange network would upgrade this, cuz they install some of their setting on it, like their homepage, backgroung, GPRS & WAP settings.. etc but it doesn't affect your mobile performance nor it need to b upgrded unless they change some of their connection settings!
and if it's blank in your mobile then it's because you formated the internal memory urself, which will let your device loose the CDA version, and as I said it won't affect your mobile😊
to get it back, you need to update your firmware i was told, but yeah, if you reformat it yourself, then you'll most probably lose this (i don't know for sure but it sounds reasonable because i noticed i lost it after i reformatted my phone and it works fine upto now)
