T-MOBILE 2p PER KB

I CARNT BELIEVE THIS. Ive just connected to t-mobile GPRS via oplayer and was connected for 2 minutes. During this time I watched a streaming video clip for 45 sec and downloaded a 40 sec video clip. T-mobile had earlier told me that I had to register and pay 20 a month for 10mb of GPRS. Confused as how I was able to connect when I had'nt even signed up, I gave them a ring. I thought I was having a nighmare when the woman on the other end told me that I would be charged 2p PER 1KB.After doing a few estimates......

Average 45 sec video clip(streaming).....350kb (or am I wrong)
average 40 sec video clip(downloaded).....320kb

Total......670kb @ 2p per KB = 13.40

Ive been charged 13.40 (to be confirmed in 2 hrs) for watching a tiny video clip and then downloading one. IM VERY VERY ANGRY.

T-MOBILE USERS BEWARE.

Yes my friends - BEWARE..

T-Mobile have been charging this rate since last year (when they never officailly had GPRS), from last week you can now buy 10mb for 20 a month any overs is charged at 2p per kb again.
Any unused mb's is NOT carried over to the next month.

When I upgraded from 7650 to 3650 I was lazy and sent my data via e-mail to and from the phones - 2mb out and 2mb back in again.

My bill for this.... 66 !!!!!!!

I have now signed up for the 20 package 😉

Oplayo can eat away at you kbs and before you notice you've done a MB of data quite easily so be carefull...

Best

LOL!! That's sooo EXPENSIVE! 😃
Hmmm... What is the expression.... oh now I remember: "Shit happens!" 😃

Isnt there anywhere where I can download clips for the oplayer from the net then transfer to 7650 via ir. I used to have a realone player but this app is far to big at 1mb and the clips I found for it were poor, like, people parachuting and old music vids.

thats what put me off of T Mobile (as well as 'patchy' coverage around here) - orange charge 3 per mb which i think is a bit more reasonable, and you can have 10mb of WAP for 4/month which is pretty good.

Dont understand why t mobile charge so much - 13.40 is loads for 2 clips!
