upgrading software?

6 replies · 3,449 views · Started 08 February 2010

i've downloaded the software upgrade for my N95 8GB but when i try to install it keeps saying that minimum memory requirement is 256 which im not sure if my laptop is. Is there a way to do it through the actual phone itself?

Many thanks in advance

There's no way to update firmware without connecting to a PC/Laptop mate.
There is other software to flash firmware (Nemesis/Phoenix) but I don't know their sys requirements off the top of my head.

On 5800 there allegedly is (this from Nokia UK website):

Key *#0000# into your phone's home screen.
Select Options > Check for updates.
Follow the on-screen prompts until your update is complete!

but it must need a wifi access point and god knows what'll happen if the connection drops
