Can i have FM transmitter im my N97 mini? / Are the NGage games available?

Hi.

I have a N97 mini and i notice that there wasn't a FM transmitter. Is it possible to download an aplication with this functionality?

And about the n-gage games, are they payable with thise phone? The software isn't pre-instaled.

Afraid not. The FM transmitter is hardware and was excluded from the N97 mini.

You should be able to download N-Gage through SW Update... or at least I can with my N97. I don't know about the mini but I don't see why not.

As zxon said, there is no FM transmitter on the N97 mini, but you could always buy one from ebay. They shouldn't cost too much and just plug into your headphone socket. I had one for my iphone (when I had one!), which worked a charm, but have since misplaced it, so I'll be getting another one!

Kiwi_dude - Can u tell me where can this transmitter be bought? Or the reference of it?

It seems that the Ngage isnt't available yet. At least it is not in SW Update.

I'm not too sure if you can post links on here but here is the sort of FM Transmitter you'll need. Infact, this is just like the one I've lost! Just do a search on your local ebay, or even some local electronics stores may sell them. It needs to have a 3.5mm headphone jack.)

As for n-gage.... Well, if you do a google search (n-gage on n97 mini) you can download the install file from the web, then install it on the phone via PC Suite. It looks as though n-gage is about to close it's doors though, and while games may still be available for some time to come, there may be no future developments, at least not from Nokia trusted sources.

THe FM Transmitters are pretty easy to get ohld of now even out there, they are easily available in the shops for about a fiver, so you shouldn't have any trouble getting one.

It does work really well, but personally I have to say, the buit in FM T on the 97 is great, very easy to just get in the car, press play on the music widget and we're off. It would deffo be a MUST HAVE feature on any new handset in the future for me.
