FM transmitter doesnt work

hi guys, since having my n97 the fm transmitter doesnt work at all, when i activate it i can't hear static on my stereo (which sounds promising) but when i play any music through it doesnt transmit anything. im using firmware 20

Most people report that with stereo equipment you need to get you N97 around to the back side of the receiver near the built-in antenna, as there is too much shielding in the way (due to the circuitry and housing).

Car stereos on the other hand have less shielding and you can get fair quality transmission within a foot or two.

Maybe there exist some car or home equipments that aren't compatible with FM transmiters in general... you may take a look on this...

Btw N97 FM send a very band and poor signal so is not a reliable source of music for you stereo system... is a shame cause was a great addon!
