Changing from RM-553 to RM-555

I've recently purchased an unlocked N97 Mini from Dell.

The product code is 0591930: N97 mini RM-553 North America US Cherry Black

I would like to debrand it to a product code which supports Chinese language input.

I've searched the list and all regions which support the Chinese langauge input are under RM-555.

Is it possilble to change the product code of a N97 mini NAM with RM-553 to a product code that is RM-555?

i think someone was working on that over at daily mobile forums for the 5800, and i think they got it to work. but i dont remember details. there is a program called navifirm which will help you out. go check the daily mobile forums, that will be your best bet by far for this.

Check the other posts - but moving between model numbers will sometimes lose functionality and frequency bands - including the 850Mhz in NAM models to the 2G only 900/1800Mhz of China RM-555.
